Keswick Lantern Parade 2011, a National Trust-funded event,  saw the successful collaboration of Changeling Productions and New Arts North in the creation and delivery of a large-scale festival of light. New writing, by Russell Burbush, was performed by Keswick Community Choir, and a miriad of new lantern and pyrotechnical sculptures were carried along the route and positioned into the lake itself. The foreshore of Derwentwater lake was transformed and animated by the towns inhabitants, with song carrying over the water, and sculptures of light and fire illuminating the landscape.
