Who We Work With |
|
New Arts North work with statutory bodies such as town, borough and county councils. We work in both primary and secondary schools across the northern region, within the nationwide Creative Partnerships scheme and also outside of this, through independently created projects. We work with other arts organisations, companies, venues and freelance practitioners, who share our approach or goals. We also have a connection with mental health organisations in Cumbria. We receive funding from both regional and national funding bodies.

Multidisciplinary approach NAN acts as an umbrella organisation for a variety of freelance practitioners from different disciplines. It works with and hires freelance artists of various disciplines to take part in, and deliver sessions within their areas of expertise, and as projects require it. NAN works in a way where participants of all ages are encouraged to explore their creativity, and elect to take part in their own learning and direction. An important part of this process is participant reflection. These processes are aided by sensitive facilitation by the practitioners involved.
